An early morning walk down Chesterfield Avenue, in the chilled air and along the uncrowded sidewalk, helped me find a signal in the everyday noise. Earliest memories from childhood came back to me as I discovered thought and attempted to control thinking at will. A thought, as a stream of knowledge and memory, has occupied my mind from the early days of childhood to this day. A superficial examination of thought as it transfers onto paper via a stream of ink asks how anybody can have writerβs block, as I found you cannot stop thinking, even as a small child.
Decluttering is a good mental exercise, deleting noise to become lighter again in the morning air and letting memories precipitate into fresh thoughts. It is either this walk on Chesterfield Avenue or a rested mind in the morning that accounts for all these thoughts.
