Here’s a list of new music, primarily by new musicians I’ve discovered or by musicians I’ve known for a while. I’ve also included notable musical events.
2025-09-14: We listened on Tuff Radio, La Favourite, a grand opera in four acts by Gaetano Donizetti, is based on the play Le comte de Comminges by Baculard d’Arnaud. It features the romantic struggles of King Alfonso XI and his mistress Leonora against the backdrop of political intrigue in Spain and the life of the Catholic Church. The opera premiered on December 2, 1840, at the Académie Royale de Musique in Paris.
2025-09-07: Tuff Radio played Corb Lund’s interpretation of “I Shall Be Released” by Bob Dylan, an excellent rendition.

I was surprised by Vancouver’s talent in jazz music. The lively atmosphere had the audience tapping their feet and clapping along. It was a vibrant evening that left everyone in high spirits.
2025-05-26: We went to a Paul Pigat concert last night. It was a great show, and he played a lot of songs from his last record, Plays the Blues Vol 1 (February 28, 2025). The venue was packed, and the energy in the room was electric. Overall, it was an amazing night filled with great music and good vibes!
